Synopsis:
Zsuzsi has the perfect life: by thirty she has a great job, two degrees, a nice car and a place of her own. One day, however, the young professional wakes up realizing that something is wrong….she can’t breathe and her heart is racing.
After her lover Kirill dumps her she admits to herself the “Panic Clinic.” She finds herself under the care of an overambitious therapist who uses strange treatments on her and the other patients. Eventually, Zsuzsi’s highest aspiration is to find the ability to leave the clinic, open the gate, get out and rejoin society.
Outside the Clinic all is “normal”: Zsuzsi’s mother, Elli and her friend Ilona (two middle aged divas) embark on a shopping spree looking for adventure. Ilona’s daughter has a newborn baby yet is consumed with anxiety over motherhood. Zsuzsi’s brother wants to free his mother Elli from an evil body snatching alien – at the point of a gun. The Supercops quarrel endlessly over their homosexual identities – and eventually come to blows.
Zsuzsi must choose-either remain anxious for the rest of her life or get herself together and start anew. |
